It's not the airplane. It's the start.
The ones who quit aren't bad pilots. They got drop-in lessons, no structure, no plan, and no milestone to push toward. Six months in, they've spent $4,000, haven't soloed, and don't see the path. They stop.
The 0-Solo Fast Pass fixes that on Day One: a defined syllabus, an assigned CFI, priority scheduling, and a real milestone — your name in a logbook as Pilot-in-Command — you can plan around.
Here's exactly what's in the box.
Built so a brand-new pilot has every piece needed to solo — no upsells, no surprise add-ons, no "talk to your CFI" at billing time.
Where this sits on the path.
The biggest jump on the path isn't financial — it's soloing. The 0-Solo Fast Pass gets you across that line for less than 6% of a full career program, and every dollar credits back if you continue.
From "I want to fly" to solo in 6 steps.

Start training today. Sort funding in parallel.
Career-track financing takes 4–8 weeks to close. That's 4–8 weeks of not flying — and 4–8 weeks of Take Off list prices possibly drifting up. The 0-Solo Fast Pass solves both:
- flight_takeoffStart logging hours this month. By the time funding clears, you've already soloed.
- lockLock today's Take Off pricing for 90 days. When list prices move, yours doesn't.
- event_availableHold your slot in the next career cohort. Aircraft availability tightens every quarter — your seat is reserved the moment you pay.
- swap_horizEvery dollar rolls forward. Upgrade to Take Off within 90 days and your 0-Solo payment + every hour flown applies as credit.
The pilots who finish are the ones who start. Don't let paperwork decide your timeline.
Non-refundable. No-risk.
Yes, those can both be true — here's why.
90-Day Price Lock
Today's published Take Off list price is locked for you for 90 days from purchase. If list prices go up, you pay today's rate.
Roll-Forward Credit
Upgrade to Take Off within 90 days and every dollar paid + every hour flown applies as credit. Nothing wasted, no double-charge.
You Keep Everything
Even if you don't continue: solo logbook entry, pre-solo written, certificate, airline captain call — all yours. Forever.
We don't refund because the hours are reserved on our aircraft and the CFI's calendar the moment you pay. That's how priority scheduling works. The roll-forward credit is our way of making "non-refundable" feel like nothing.

What's Option 0 and how do I qualify?expand_more
Option 0 is a limited, qualifier-only path. You pay for the 0-Solo Fast Pass today and — if you sign the full 0→AMEL Take Off contract within 90 days — the entire package cost is credited back into your career program. Effectively, 0-Solo becomes free. Qualification is at our team's discretion and typically depends on financing readiness, schedule alignment, and timeline to start full training. Reach out via the Contact page to find out if you qualify before paying.
Is this refundable?expand_more
No. The 0-Solo Fast Pass is non-refundable at purchase — the hours are reserved on the aircraft and CFI calendar the moment you pay. But if you upgrade to Take Off within 90 days, every dollar and every hour you logged rolls forward as credit. And whether you continue or not, you keep your logbook entry, certificate, shirt, and airline call.
What if I need more than 15 hours of dual to solo?expand_more
Most JB Aero students solo around 17–18 hours. If you go over, additional hours are billed at our 10% loyalty rate — the same discount Take Off students get. Plan for $400–$600 of overage if you fly at a typical cadence.
How does the 90-day price lock work?expand_more
Your Take Off price is locked at today's published list price for 90 days from 0-Solo purchase. If list prices go up, you pay today's rate. Cohort closing offers and limited-time promos are separate and not part of the lock.
Can I pause the 90-day clock?expand_more
Yes — for documented medical events, family emergencies, or military orders. Email us and we'll add up to 60 days.
Do I need a medical certificate to solo?expand_more
Yes — a Third Class FAA medical (or BasicMed for some students). After purchase we send the MedXPress link and a Fresno AME shortlist. Plan $100–$175 for the exam, separate from the package.
What's the difference between this and a Discovery Flight?expand_more
A Discovery Flight is one introductory ride — 30 to 45 minutes — to see if you like flying. The 0-Solo Fast Pass is the real training package: 24 hours total, your first solo flight, a logbook entry, a CFI assigned to you, and a 90-day window to decide on the full career path. Discovery is a date. 0-Solo is a relationship.
Which airframe should I pick — Tomahawk or Warrior?expand_more
Start with weight. The Tomahawk's pilot weight limit is 220 lbs — if you (or you + a CFI on a dual flight) exceed that, the Warrior is required for safety and CG. If you're under 220 lbs, it's a preference call: Tomahawk for the lowest cost and the classic two-seat trainer feel, or Warrior if you'd like a slightly larger cabin and more useful load.
How long does the whole package take?expand_more
Most students finish in 4–8 weeks at one flight per week, or 2–3 weeks accelerated. Fresno averages ~300 sunny days a year so weather rarely stalls progress.
Can I gift 0-Solo to someone?expand_more
Right now this checkout assumes the buyer is the student. If you want to gift it, email us and we'll send a gift certificate that the recipient can redeem when they're ready.
Decide in 3 weeks instead of 6 months.
From $3,995. Twenty-four hours. Your first solo flight. And a 90-day window to choose what's next — with every dollar credit-eligible toward Take Off.
