We store information on secure servers (AWS) and take reasonable measures to protect it. However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

6. SMS / Text Messaging

JB Aeronautics operates an SMS program (“JB Aero SMS”) that enables two-way conversational text messaging with prospective and current students who explicitly opt in through a checkbox on our website forms (e.g., contact, application, discovery flight, and VA benefits inquiry forms).

Information we collect via SMS opt-in:

• Your mobile phone number
• Your name (as submitted on the form)
• The date and timestamp of your consent
• The web page or form through which you opted in
• The content of messages you send to or receive from us

How we use SMS data:

We use your mobile number and related opt-in data solely to conduct a two-way conversation with you about flight training. Typical topics include answering flight training inquiries, responding to VA benefit and GI Bill® questions, scheduling discovery flights or campus tours, confirming enrollment steps, and sending occasional program updates related to the training you inquired about. Message frequency varies based on your conversation with us.

No sharing of mobile information with third parties for marketing:

Mobile information will not be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. All other categories of information exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties. We use carrier and platform partners (such as Twilio) strictly to deliver the messages you have requested; these partners are not permitted to use your information for their own marketing.

Opt-out and help:

You can opt out of the SMS program at any time by replying STOP to any message you receive from us. After you send STOP, we will send a single confirmation message and will not send you any further SMS messages unless you opt in again. Retention of SMS data:

We retain your phone number, consent record, and conversation history for as long as you remain opted in and for a reasonable period thereafter (typically up to 24 months) to document compliance with applicable laws (including the TCPA and CTIA guidelines) and to support any ongoing relationship with our school. After that period, or upon a verified deletion request, we will delete or de-identify SMS records that are not required to be retained by law.

Our Services are not directed to anyone under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Our Services are designed for U.S. residents. If you access them from outside the U.S., you understand your data will be transferred and processed in the U.S.
